Goal Ball

Goalball is an inclusive team sport designed specifically for persons with visual impairments. Played with a ball fitted with bells, the game relies on sound, teamwork, and spatial awareness rather than sight. Players wear blindfolds to ensure fair competition, and teams work together to defend their goal while attempting to score by rolling the ball into the opposing team’s net. Goalball promotes fitness, confidence, communication, and inclusion, while creating an exciting and competitive environment where ability—not vision—takes center stage.
